About Central Beach Sarafovo

Reviewed by Tony Denesa·Updated:

The central beach of Sarafovo, the seaside district at the northern edge of Burgas on the southern Black Sea coast. Sarafovo carries the air of a former fishing settlement turned coastal suburb — quieter and more local than the city-centre beach. It is the kind of place you go for an unfussy day by the sea, close to town yet away from its buzz.

The sand is on the coarser side, and the sea entry is gentle, sloping away gradually, with the depth building little by little — an easy shoreline, comfortable for unhurried bathing.

Good to know The swimming season generally runs from May to September, with the warmest water around midsummer. The gentle entry makes it a good fit for families and anyone after a more settled beach. It is easy to reach from Burgas, the district sitting close to the city airport. Come with sun protection, water and your own umbrella if you want guaranteed shade, as facilities can differ along the shore.
