Chaika ("Seagull") Beach is a stretch of sand on the Black Sea coast in the Obzor area, on Bulgaria's southern shoreline. It is part of the string of broad, open beaches along this section of coast, with sand and shallow water at the shore, well suited to sunbathing and a relaxed day by the sea.
What to expect
An open beach with sand and easy access into the water, good for families and for those looking for space and quiet away from the bustle of the big resorts. Depending on the section, you may find areas set up with sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as more open, natural stretches.
Practical information
It is reached by car from Obzor, one of the quieter resorts on the coast. The beach season is summer, with June to September the best time. Check on site what facilities are available (lifeguard, lounger hire, food points), as these can vary from one season to the next. Nearby, the resort of Obzor offers restaurants, accommodation and a relaxed atmosphere, suited to a low-key stay.
